Yes, I got The Los Angeles Dodgers to follow me on Twitter. They currently have 487,000 followers and are only following 2,645. I am now included on that list of 2,645 people followed by the Los Angeles Dodgers.
How did I get them to follow me?
I offered up a deal. Yes, I struck up a deal with the Dodgers during a game at Dodger Stadium. I attended the game with a group of Philadelphia Phillies fans and needed help countering their anti-Dodgers comments. I took to Twitter to combat them and began asking people "why are the Dodgers better than the Phillies?"
As the answers came rushing in, I was mentioned in a tweet that the Dodgers retweeted.
I was immediately smiling and extremely happy that The Los Angeles Dodgers had retweeted a tweet that mentioned me! I saw that my brother (@JPeazy10 and Dodger hater) favorited the tweet, but he did NOT retweet.
I texted my brother and asked him to retweet the tweet. He replied by saying, "I will never retweet the Dodgers". I responded to him by saying, "you will retweet it, whether you like it or not".
That's when I sent a wager to the Dodgers...
My brother begged and begged via text to not unfollow him. He would say things like, "Please don't (unfollow me) you're my most credible follower..."
I explained to my brother that all he had to do was retweet the tweet and I would retract my statement, however, he was too late. The Dodgers beat him to it and I was forced to unfollow my own brother. On the brighter side, the Dodgers now follow me on Twitter!
So, that is how I inspired The Los Angeles Dodgers to follow me on Twitter.

***Note: Since this happened, my brother retweeted the tweet as I requested, I followed him back and the Dodgers are still following me :)
