First off, what is PR? Public relations (PR) is "the practice of managing the spread of information between an individual or an organization (such as a business, government agency, or a nonprofit organization) and the public." It is all about relationship building, pitching relevant content and framing the image of your business in a good light in the media or in social media. PR is a way to get people to say the things about you and your business that you cannot say yourself.
I have found a few ways to use social media tools and platforms for PR and today I am sharing them with you!

I recently discovered the power of Facebook groups for PR. There are several dedicated groups for PR reps to join, ask questions, share info and ask for pitches! These groups are full of new opportunities to sponsor events, pitch stories, make friends and have fun!

Once the most active person has become a connection with you, your network will expand and you will now be able to connect with, message, ask to be introduced to and communicate with several new kinds of people in the industry you are trying to communicate with!
